The Gate is a luxury womenswear boutique located in Guildford and is rapidly establishing a reputation as one of Surrey's most exciting fashion destinations. It was opened in September 2011 by Liz Trendle who, as owner of Catwalk in nearby Godalming, has already had 14 years experience in the independent boutique sector.

Liz says, "by keeping a close eye on current trends and cherry-picking styles that will suit our clients, we are not dictated to by fashion, but guided by it..." Our collections are eclectic and unusual and we enjoy mixing familiar brands with those that are not so widely known, to create an original and exciting boutique experience.

Every item is passionately chosen and our collections have to have something special, whether it be an international brand or a small niche label from a young UK designer. Service is top of the agenda at The Gate. We always strive to provide a friendly, professional shopping experience and go that extra mile for our clients, who may want a complete new wardrobe or could just be after that perfect jacket to go with a dress.
