Dorking

in the Surrey Hills

These boots were made for Dorking...

If a giant, silver-coated cockerell doesn't herald the promise of something special, we don't know what does! This bustling market town is dotted with a number of independent shops offering an attractive mix of established and emerging designers.

Shopping Creds:

Expect expert, personal service from experienced shop owners, proud to be putting this unique town on the fashion map.

You'll find womenswear aplenty with high-end edits in luxury British brand names, a collection of up-and-coming European labels as well as love-at-first-sight lingerie and one of the best pre-loved shops in Surrey.

Something different:

Brimming with heritage, Dorking also boasts an impressive offering of antique shops clustered down West Street.

Well worth a visit is the multi-floored, narnia-like Christies - be sure to check out the vintage room, a time capsule of retro fashions at great prices.

A short wander down the high street and you'll soon clock the higgledy-piggledy alleyways- don't miss Old King's Court - a courtyard of charming, little shops offering homeware, beauty and fashion.

Dorking is a town reknowned for it's quirkiness ( look out for the random cockerels strutting about town) and this is celebrated at the 'brilliantly bonkers' Fluffatorium, selling all your knitting and sewing needs. They also run sewing classes on top of the shop floor for the budding seamstress.

Something for Men:

Newer to the town is Rustar; a luxe sportswear store specialising in deadstock trainers, cool casualwear as well as quality sportswear. No visit to Dorking would be complete without a visit to Westdaw Menswear, a slick menswear boutique stocking premium brand names such as Gant, Barbour, Hackett. Proprietor, Ian offers a relaxed shopping experience with expert knowledge and style insight on tap.

You heard it here first...Dork this way!
